I have always believed in the sense of compassion and giving people have for one another. Sometimes you don’t find these kinds of people all over the place, but when you do find them, you find them in communities, homes, and little towns. My experience on this trip to Ghana was mind-blowing. I experienced some of the most interesting experiences to keep memories that would forever inspire me to continue making a difference. Learning that there are so many children and adults that want to have the privilege we have here in the United States is further reason why I take my life here in America very seriously. I know so much needs to be done to affect a change in the lives of children which is just one of so many things we have to do to change the world.
However, what brought joy to my face the most was seeing the smiles on the children’s faces. I have been so inspired and I look forward to changing even more lives as the years come. I sometimes tell myself why we live in a world with so much hate, and I am reminded that I could choose to see the hate or I could choose to see the love. As much as there is hate around us, there is also so much love. But love happens to be the invisible hand that lifts us all up, so even if I might not see it, I know it is very present in the lives of every one of us. I hope together we can make a difference in the lives of children around the world educationally (visit LittleCrowns.org for more insight into our work). I know we were predestined to meet at the point in time to effect a change in the lives of others and I am hoping you carry this torch with me.
